Introduction

Welcome. The purpose of this website is to provide instructors with information and examples of tools for successful course management. One of the critical components of successful course management is clearly presenting and outlining your expectations in regards to course requirements and interpersonal interactions with students. By clearly outlining your expectations this can minimize any misunderstandings and potential conflict with students. This website is designed to help faculty recognize and respond to various behavioral issues both proactively and reactively. This includes tips for designing your syllabus, how to talk with students, and where to refer students for the help they need.

This is an emergent website that will grow over time with your suggestions and examples. Please submit them to The Reinert Center for Teaching Excellence (cte@slu.edu) and come visit on a regular basis to see what has been added.
